It is a great pleasure to welcome the new School Academic Principal at SVIS. Mrs. Hoda Said is an educator with 20 years of experience in the education field. Most recently, she was the Academic Quality Controller at Misr Language School, American Division. She has also worked as an Academic Coordinator, a Head Teacher, and teacher of English Language Arts for Elementary and Middle School students. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Professional Educator’s Diploma from the American University in Cairo. She also has a Master’s degree in International Education from the American International College- Springfield, Massachusetts. She recently received a Certificate in School Management & Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Mrs. Said is a Certified School Principal & Academic Director, accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education. Additionally, she has served as a member of the Cognia accreditation teams for several schools in the United States. Due to her substantial academic work experience at schools and her strong educational background, she has extensive experience in developing and assessing curricula, coaching and evaluating teachers, monitoring student performance and progress, meeting and cooperating with parents, and developing and leading in school improvement programs. Through her commitment to lifelong learning, she hopes to set an example for students and teachers that education is a continuous process that one should never stop pursuing. She demonstrates a strong commitment to academic excellence, by ensuring that all students receive the most holistic and rigorous education possible. We are sure that with her high caliber, energy, enthusiasm and focus on education and learning, SVIS will achieve greater excellence.
